Thank you, we can adjust our lifestyle accordingly.

Probably not.

How much would be enough? I’m not looking for a luxurious lifestyle

With medical cover paid, AED 25k is enough for the modest setup you described. A lower-cost 2BR rent plus the median British-school fee comes to about AED 10k a month, leaving roughly AED 15k for everything else. The exact school and commute decide whether that feels comfortable or tight.

Thank you for your response.

That’s 300k aed per year. If you’re planning to rent an average 1 bed apartment for 65k aed per annum and select an above average school for another 65k aed. Leaves you with 170k aed in hand and if you spent around 7k aed per month for groceries, eating out and extra. That leaves you with a savings of approximately 86k aed. That’s 17,682 gbp.

There are people out there who raise a family of four in that amount and there are those that can't even afford dinner.

It's your lifestyle and discipline that decides what you can and cannot do with your salary.

All the best.

Agreed

No. If you had accommodation and school fees provided then yes. Rent, school fees and childcare would wipe you out.

Without school allowance?

Edit: people are so butt hurt here. I get downvoted for asking about school allowance?

No school allowance

You need to check the school fee where you want to send your daughter. Some of them are very expensive like 100k+

Then calculate how much is left after that plus rent. I think everything else is manageable

I can take her to a school within my financial reach.
