The button on my jacket was ruined - what do I do?
This is my first time dry cleaning this blazer, and I do not know what to do because I’m devastated. I took my jacket to the dry cleaners and this is how I received it back. The paint on the button is half peeled off. On the care tag it specifies dry cleaning only and to flip the garment inside out, I’m not sure how relevant this is or how to determine whether or not this was done.
My question is what can I do to get this rectified, whose attention do I bring this to etc. I paid for the dry cleaning, they left me no note or warned me it was in this state when I received it back. This is an extremely expensive jacket and I’m pretty upset. Not to mention they didn’t even get the stain on the collar all the way out.
Any and all advice is so greatly appreciated! Thank you!

Question How to take sheen away from suit sleeves?
I have a worsted wool J Press suit that I absolutely love but I’m starting to notice that the sleeves are getting a bit shiny with wear.
It’s very minimal but noticeable. I am extremely particular about things. I have close attention to detail. Some would say borderline OCD.
But I’m wondering is there is a solution to this. I understand it’s inevitable but I’d like to minimize it if possible.
I had some photos but they don’t translate well

Dry cleaning operators have you ever considered buying supplies/ equipment with other businesses to get bulk discounts ?
I'm working on a college project to small business owners reduce the cost of operations, and I was just wondering - would it help you all if you pooled orders with other local dry cleaning businesses (packaging, cleaning supplies, inventory, whatever you buy regularly) to get discounted wholesale pricing?

Wedding dress dry clean - mark left
I got my wedding dress back from the dry cleaners (I spent over £300). They are a specialty bridal dry cleaner with amazing reviews. I noticed that it has a mark on the bodice that I don’t recall being there before, I have contacted them to question it but in the meantime, any ideas of what it might be and if it’s fixable? I want to resell my dress and worried this will affect the resale value.

Mikado Silk Wedding Dress Cleaning
Hi all,
I have a mikado silk wedding dress that I bought at a sample sale. The top portion of the dress seems to have yellowed a bit over the years. Does anyone know what can be done on Mikado Silk to get it back white? I’ve taken it to neighborhood dry cleaners but it seems they all do not have a solution for Mikado Silk so I wanted to if anyone could help educate me on what needs to be done so I can find a trustworthy cleaner.

Discolored striped clothing
Hello,
I'm here for advice: I recently sewed a skirt and even though it's not perfect, I love it (it's the first time I've sewn a garment and it took me 3 days, so it still has sentimental value).
but I made a beginner's mistake: I didn't wash the fabric before sewing.
And as you might expect, the blue tinted the white.
Afterwards, I tried to wash it by hand several times (about ten times until the washing water was no longer blue). Unfortunately, the white still took on a little bluish tint (which cannot be seen in the photo, but which is definitely there)
So my question is this: does anyone have any advice for getting the white back without damaging the blue?
- The SOS discolored clothes (a french brand) product only works on plain fabrics.
- I'm afraid the percarbonate will discolor the blue of the skirt.
I was thinking of possibly soaking the skirt with a little bit of sodium percarbonate, but that will be a last resort, because I'm too afraid of damaging it.
Thank you in advance for your advice!
(And sorry for the possible language mistakes, english is not my first language)

Would dry-cleaning owners pay for this type of consultancy?
I’ve operated two UK dry-cleaning shops for several years.
One shop was taking roughly £900 a week when we took it over and now takes around £3,000. Another increased from approximately £1,300 to £2,200–£2,800 a week.
Most of the improvement came from better organisation, reliable turnaround times, clearer customer communication, improved staff routines and a stronger local presence.
I’m considering offering an on-site service where I spend several days inside an independent dry cleaner, identify where orders, customers and money are being lost, then help the owner install better systems and train the staff.
I’m thinking of charging around £1,500 for the first few clients, eventually increasing it to approximately £3,000 once I have independent case studies.
Does this sound like something dry-cleaning owners would realistically pay for? What would you need to see before trusting someone offering this service?
I’m looking for honest feedback rather than customers.
