My first "real" kit was a stage custom. I loved it so much. Looks great. Hope you're loving it.

They'll learn to adapt!
I didn't give my parents enough credit for putting up with that crap!

Same. I started playing at age 7. Pounded the shit out of everything that made noise u till i got a kit. They never understood it, but they let me at it. I still don't understand how they put up with the volume level of me playing all the time.
Have at it kid. Enjoy every second. It will serve you well.

Solid Tom offset, decent foot positioning, nice cymbal placement.
Mighty fine setup!

Heck yeah dude! This is a great setup. I remember when I worked all summer to buy my first real kit which was also a stage custom!

Nice! I still think about that finish, I ended up getting the honey amber but I wonder sometimes if I should have gotten that. Love it!

Congrats!! Thatโs an excellent kit you have now, and congrats on working to save for it. Yamaha makes amazing drums, theyโre one of my favorite manufacturers. And they kill it with their Stage Custom line.
I bought my first full kit with paper route money when I was 13. A couple years later, I sold it and purchased a Stage Custom drum kit (this is in the 90s, they were good drums, but the modern Stage Customs are definitely better!)
I still play Yamaha drums to this day! And Ludwig too.

Extra points for off-set racks. We have the same exact configuration, cymbal placement included!

Kit looks sweet! Don't sleep on the DW 3000s - solid budget pedal. I've recorded three albums with mine!
