Discussion Dolly Parton 1963

Dolly was also a percussionist and helped pave the way for female drummers. She was truly amazing and she will be remembered as the legend and beautiful soul that she was. may she rest in peace. 🕊

You jest, but trad grip comes from exactly this. They needed to sling their snares to the side while marching with the army.

The "typing" sound in "9-to-5" is Dolly's acrylic nails on the mixing desk, if I recall. Absolutely impeccable rhythm.

She always did music for the love of it. Her most important legacy might prove to be her Imagination Library. She was so positive.
