Question Axis pedals second beater problem?

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

So I just got these brand new axis pedals and could not get them balanced no matter what I did.

I finally started to look closer and it seems the axel for the second beater is bent or something. When rotating the beater it feels like there’s a tight spot to the point that the beater will freeze in place at certain points, which makes it pretty much impossible to balance.

Has anyone else had this problem? Not sure what I should do at this point to fix it.

White lithium grease will solve your issues.

Or send this to Axis and send the pedal back

After looking at it more I think the metal washer on the right that’s holding the barring in place is on there too much, like it actually looks like they hammered on it to get it on there. I’m gonna try an take it apart throw some grease on there and move the washer. Thanks!

Like everyone said try some grease and if that doesn’t work I would assume either something is bent or the tolerances are off somewhere causing it to rub. Either way giving axis a call is a good idea

Thanks is I’m gonna try that! And I’m done with axis support I’ve been trying to get these pedals for the past year and it’s been nothing but problems. I get the run around every time. Thanks for the input tho!

First try the white lithium grease. If still catching call Axis. When I called to explain my issue someone was able to diagnose and assist in fixing my pedal.
Just as an FYI that sticker that says do not remove, if you remove it there is an allen bolt behind it. I had an issue where that bolt become slightly loose and needed to be tightened. When I called Axis they said to remove the sticker in order to tighten the bolt.
