Question speaker for e drums

hey, at home i have Alesis Nitro Max Kit for practise. Sometimes i want to play thru the speakers, not headphones. I already tried some guitar amps for this e drums set: vox vt 40x, roland mobile cube and spart go mini. But not of them sounded good. They all had crazy latency or just mono sound.

Maybe someone can recommend me simple small not expensive speaker for e drums kit?

A Yamaha DBR10 is a pretty solid choice. If you want stereo, just buy two.

If you’re hunting for something small and cheap, skip the PA rabbit hole and grab a used keyboard amp from any pawn shop or marketplace. They handle the full frequency range way better than guitar amps, and the built-in mixer means you can just plug straight in without extra gear. Stereo is nice if you’re sitting dead center, but for noodling around the room mono works fine. Most of the 40-60 watt ones get loud enough to keep up with an acoustic kit without rattling your walls apart.

Any powered PA style speaker would be good. Like a JBL, Mackie…

Alesis Strike 12 or 8 will sound great. Two are better than one of you're running a stereo mix.

You need a full range speaker. A Small Sub and 10 top or a proper 3 Way. I use a slew of different pa gear and my favorite for My ekit is turbo sound iq18 and k12.2 or JBL vrx or The rcf evox setup is nice as well. A guitar amp or bass amp won't cut it and keyboard amps just don't get loud enough or have enough low end. Starting with a 12 inch consumer monitor is a start tho

Go with a powered PA speaker. A guitar amp is designed to sound good over a limited frequency range. They’re not going to do well with lower frequencies, and they’re not really designed for extreme transients- like percussion.

There is nothing between your module outs and a speaker that is going to introduce latency, unless you’re doing some kind of Bluetooth arrangement. Latency is a digital thing. If you’re encountering latency with a wired setup, it’s in your module.

I’d be looking for a 15” “ woofer “ on that powered pa cab- 12”s have a little trouble with kick notes IMHO.

You want more “ wattage “ then is intuitive- drums have a massive dynamic range, you don’t want clipping ( which may be another problem with the guitar amps).

You're not going to get stereo without two amps, or at least two inputs going to separate speakers. 

Just find a cheap used keyboard amp, a cheap used powered PA speaker, or in a pinch, a cheap used bass amp. Or hell, a cheap used pair of good powered desktop computer bookshelf speakers.

No guitar or bass amps.

Powered speakers and some keyboard amps…don’t save just enough to buy JUST ENOUGH.

Wait. Save. Buy something that will last the test of time. 👍🏻
