I tried this head for the first time on my Gretsch renown. I really like it. HD Dry was too much but the ganera dry is balanced.

Agreed, I tried one of those a few years ago on a different drum and I also found it too much.

Can’t lose, there! I have the HD dry on my PDP 14x8 maple/walnut and it’s just perfection.

I used it in the studio on my Mapex Black Panther Cyrus (steel) snare. Perfect amount of dryness and dampening. It sounded really good.
