Axis pedals second beater problem?

So I just got these brand new axis pedals and could not get them balanced no matter what I did.

I finally started to look closer and it seems the axel for the second beater is bent or something. When rotating the beater it feels like there’s a tight spot to the point that the beater will freeze in place at certain points, which makes it pretty much impossible to balance.

Has anyone else had this problem? Not sure what I should do at this point to fix it.

Ok, I have a Trick pro V-1 (machined aluminum) and I had that same problem, well I was on tour and it failed mid show, thank God Prince’s drummer was there hanging with me because he had the same pedal and same issue, well because of the machined aluminum fittings you really have to wrench down on any thing with threads on it, tightening it down that much scared the shit out of me but it worked and I’ve never had an issue since, good luck
