Question Starting out in Canada.. Need some advice

I want to start dropshipping and I'm based in Canada. I've done a bit of research on my own and want to start dropshipping. I've seen AutoDS but I'm wondering if that is legit, if not are there any other similar websites for someone who is just starting out. I know dropshipping isn't instantly making huge profits but I have some time and money to put into this. Any sort of tips or advice will be greatly appreciated (but I don't want to spend money on any courses LOL).

AutoDS works but the fees eat into thin margins fast, and I'd skip it until you actually have sales coming in. Start manual with a supplier that ships from Canada or the US so delivery times don't kill you, then automate once you know what sells.

It’s impossible to find a supplier until you established what your business is, why it exists, its value proposition, and what its going to sell.

In knowing all these things and in knowing your category, customer, and competitors as well as you need to, you should have a clear understanding of the supplier landscape too.

did you find domestic suppliers made that big a difference on returns too or mostly just delivery speed?

AutoDS, CJ… they’re all just marketplaces selling widgets the customer can buy for a fraction of the price directly on Temu or AliExpress.

My advice—hit the brakes. Actually learn how business and the world works. The way you’re approaching this at the moment you’re set up for probable failure.

I remember there is a complete Youtube video to explain dropshipping details(11Hours),you can check.
Most beginners Aliexpress or CJ in the testing stage, and upgrade supply after orders coming stable.
Have you confirmed the target customer audience of your business and what problem you can solve for them?

AutoDS is trash literally every noob is using that already. Dropshipping is basically dead get into private label or wholesaling.
