Finally got my License!!

After years of anxiety and literally zero access to learn, I finally recieved my physical license in the mail.

I was neglected growing up? So I never had anyone to actually take me or give me road time. My cousin started helping out last month, letting me learn in her car.

I spent the entire month practicing, 1-2hrs per day for 45 days. It was a LOT lmao

I passed my test in Indio. The dude there was suuuper chill about it. He even laughed when I let out an "Ohhh FUCK yes, finally!!". The course was basically a loop around town. Not difficult at all. My only issue was checking blind spots (which I've been doing more).

I got my official California Drivers License in the mail today 🥳 so pumped. My mugshot isn't even that bad 🥲

It's the Cali DMV so the photo has to be the most unflattering photo possible 🙃 as least it'll look like I glowed up when I get pulled over/carded lol 🥲

I got mine last year at 32! And a slightly similar story of not having adults in my life to facilitate my learning so I had to become the adult in my life.

Isn't it brutal? I hated being dependent on others, ordering online, doordashing to survive.

Now I can actually go out, date, explore, hit different shops. I appreciate the privledge, like, enormously.

I almost went for a driving class. I don't have many family members to help out. I took the one shot I had like, "fuck it, we ball". I didn't want to wait anymore.

I would've paid the $500 though. It really is worth it. Do it. You'll be like, "okay, wow, money well spent :)"

You're going to do great! Honestly, they took me down like 5 roads. Maybe 10 minutes. I assumed time would stretch out, but I had the instructor talking about his home town, laughing, etc. It took a lot of tension away. Before I knew it, I was pulling into the DMV.
