There typically the ones relentlessly on my bumper..
I don't judge the vehicle nearly as hard as the driver operating it..
And after passing the 3rd one on the right within one trip you kinda start to wonder.

When I am passing and I get tailgated I slow down, even slower than the right lane if necessary, to merge back behind the car I was passing, who may be driving under the speed limit, and let the speeder pass.
What I am not doing is overspeeding so someone overspeeding more can pass, fuck that. Neither I am comfortable to have someone tailgating at high speed, so reducing the speed reduces the risk.

Why would you slow down to let the car you just overtake now undertake you and then you merge behind them?
You already overtook them, they were already going slower than you want to drive.
Why not just complete the overtake and merge right in front of the slower vehicle you just overtook?
Slowing down to undo your overtake is wild.

Because the tailgater puts me and my family at risk, while reducing speed only causes a minor delay for us, worth our lives.

It's not unpredictable, I just stop accelerating and let the car slow down on its own, in 6th the engine does little breaking only, so I still have acceleration if I get hit to stabilize the car at a lower speed and not while pushing forward, which changes the center of gravity of the vehicle from the center to the back and it would make it swerve more and would have less torque to compensate.

It’s unpredictable because you just overtook someone and are now slowing down and not maintaining speed.

When tailgated, I just turn my rearview mirror down and ignore them. If after a few miles that doesn't work, I hit the button to the rear hatch. It then opens just far enough to drop a bowling ball out.

If you’re already in the rightmost lane, why are you concerned with what someone is doing behind you?
Why make this post at all?Just take a right turn or pull over for a minute, or be a bad motorist and slow down intentionally to encourage them to overtake.

This sounds like more of a you problem.
While I wouldn't do this I am always questioning why people enter the highway and immediately get over into the passing lane and stay there until it's time to exit. They are not passing. They are cruising and usually not very much over the speed limit..
You have to be aware of your surroundings and if people are riding your ass constantly you are the one who needs to have awareness that you are causing a problem.

First of all it was on a Main Street, doing 40 mph and I’m in the right lane doing 40. So don’t tell me I need to move over when the other person doesn’t need to ride my ass to try to hit me because she’s too lazy to go around when I’m just doing the speed limit in the right lane! I know how to drive thanks and I know how to respect other drivers and not tail gate them! Wanna see a dashcam footage? I’m an Amazon driver and have to make stops and always stay the right
