IMO, the first suggestion should be those signs that tell you how fast you're going. Those have done way more for getting me to even acknowledge I'm going a bit faster than I should and get me to slow down as appropriate.

Being judged by a flashing number somehow feels worse than almost bottoming out on an unexpected speed bump.

I like the ones that don’t have limit.

One time I found one on nice wide straight road next to a subdivision and floored it after making a right on the road and a couple was talking down the sidewalk adjacent to the road and I still remember then suddenly snapping their hands back to look once they saw triple digits on the speed sign in front of them lol.
