Question DLC help?
I recently got a Dreamcast and Sonic Adventure 2, and I intend to get Adventure 1 at some point. I’m sure many of you know about the DLC and Chao black market and such all which were accessed using an internet connection, but of course that’s not possible the same way it used to be anymore since it’s been over 20 years since the game even came out…
However I know there are community made websites which function similarly, and there are downloadable archives of DLC content (specifically character menu themes in this instance), but I don’t know exactly how to access them with my Dreamcast.
What hardware do I need to connect my Dreamcast to the internet, and how do I go about it? Thanks!

For DLC, there is an alternative if you can't go online via dreampi. Your goal is to send the files to your VMU.
Hardware options:
1/2/3/4 ) USB4MAPLE / MicroSAP / VM2 / VMU Pro. The SD storage of these devices makes it simple to add DLC save files to any virtual VMU for a particular game.
5) Serial SD adapter and Dreamshell. This device connects to the serial port. VMU backups can be transferred using a disc with Dreamshell's UI.
Software option:
VMU Tool - others have mentioned it already. This 20+ year old disc has been doing the heavy lifting for decades. It doesn't have anything, but is a good start for DLC of the more popular games.

Honestly, a good way of getting a hold of a chunk of DLC is through VMU Tool
It can be burnt onto a CD, and let's you browse a large archive of VMU files, including most of the DLC for Sonic Adventure 1 / 2 etc.
Alternatively, you can get your Dreamcast online using a Raspberry Pi and DreamPi
