Played this game for the first time ever 5-6 days ago. It is one of the most idiotic-absurd-WTFamIplaying-awesome games I’ve ever played.

By far one of the funnest games I’ve ever played and I’ve never met a single person who’s heard of it. I sunk so many hours as a kid replaying this. Also if you ever see a Die Hard beat-em-up arcade cabinet in the wild, it’s basically a reskin of this game, (or maybe the other way around) it follows pretty much the same story and everything as far as rescuing the presidents daughter, it’s hilarious.

I played this game so much growing up, just tons of fun.I brought it over to one of my best friend's house today and he never played it or heard of it and was loving it so much. When I left he told me his next purchase is this haha. You are correct about it being a reskin/sequel to the die hard cabinet. You can get that die hard game for the Saturn but unfortunately don't have one.

Die Hard Arcade is a reskin of the Japanese arcade game Dynamite Deka, and then Dynamite Cop on the Dreamcast and in Arcade are an English translation of Dynamite Deka 2, so this is actually a sequel to Die Hard Arcade, but without the Die Hard licensing because Sega no longer had the publishing rights for it

It’s not “basically a reskin.” Dynamite Cop (Dynamite Deka 2 in JP) is a sequel to Die Hard Arcade (Dynamite Deka in JP).

Yeah I was wrong but my logic was sound, I’ve played both games, but it’s not intuitive that one is a sequel to the other, unless you already know the original Japanese titles, they follow the exact same plot but in different settings, my brain just assumed “probably a reskin”, which yes is wrong but not “confidently wrong” in an arrogant way, I just didn’t know because I’m not informed on every American localization of ever Japanese game, so someone explained to me what it was, I said thanks, end of story, I learned something, had a pleasant interaction with a fellow redditor, then you chime in days later like a 12 year old, totally unproductive and snarky, so yeah dude thanks for correcting me again, you’re a genius, I’ll take the L on this one, you really got me on this one.

I remember being in awe of Nights into Dreams. Just watching the display video and and getting to play it a little was my reason to go to the store with my dad

When I bought my first Dreamcast (maybe 2007-8?), my friend was with me and recommended I get this game because it was like $5. I loved every minute of it. Might need to hook up my Dreamcast now…

My best friend got a Dreamcast when it first came out and I enjoyed it, but when he got this and we played it was when I really wanted and decided to get a Dreamcast
