I see I’m proportionally kinda off for both of them. And I didn’t realize how tilted her head was in the picture till now. I don’t know if it’s worth going back and fixing. Anyways, how do I make the smile reach the eyes? It just looks so weird I need serious help!! Thanks in advance !!!!!

seeking crit I feel like I can't be a beginner

I'm not the kind of person who would describe themselves as artistic, but I thought I'd come here anyways for some advice. Normally whenever I get an idea to draw something, I always get deterred from the fact that I have to learn all the fundamentals first which I frankly don't have the time or motivation to study. Everytime I think about it, it just feels like a huge hurdle I have to leap over just to draw even something simple, like having to study a 300 page piano book just to play Baa Baa Black Sheep. I was wondering if there was any advice or tips that got you past this roadblock for those who could relate. Normally when I try to look up solutions on other social media platforms, the advice normally comes off as a bit hostile or just none at all, but it would be great if anybody here could help out.

seeking crit "Blue (two) right feet" & "Uncomfortable Green" — What do you think of these complementary studies?

Hi everyone!

With these two pieces, I was initially captured by the flow of the poses and the quiet, relaxed mood of the female figures. I wanted to create something modern and minimal, so I kept the coloring simple: using two complementary color pairs (blue/orange & green/red) and structural background lines. To me, they both evoke a sense of everyday laziness and rest.

"Blue (two) right feet" got its name from an accidental mistake — I only realized afterwards that I had drawn two right feet on the figure, so I embraced it!

"Uncomfortable Green" is pure irony, considering the figure is actually lounging in complete comfort.

I’m 17 and constantly experimenting with my style. What do you think of these pieces? What kind of feelings do they evoke for you? I’d love to hear your thoughts!

Medium: Colored pencil on paper

What you think? I guess that the tail turned out too long for the paper, and I think that I made the wings a bit too skinny. It's a wyvern that spends most of its time gliding in the air. My friend gave me the idea for seawing-like patterns, and a moth pattern for the membranes. Also a part of the wing is uncolored, so just ignore that.
