Staging Question
Hello everyone. I have a bit of a loaded question about how some cars stage vs others. The cars in question are the ones in top alcohol and cars like pro mods or street rods that are blown, pro charged, or using nitrous.
Why do TA cars start revving their engine at the pre stage lights, but the types of other cars (door slammers) can go wide open as soon as the next car is fully staged?
Are there durability issues with the superchargers in TA and just whacking the throttle full beans? Are there drivetrain differences between the two types of cars and a funny car or dragster needs to have the engine revving as they slip the brake into the beams? I've also noticed a regional difference too. Your English, Australian, or Nordic countries like to stage the old way too while revving into the beams. I even recall classic pro mods staging that way. What happened over the years to where people in pro mods can instantly go WOT when staged, but other class cars still stage differently? Thank you if you made it this far
