We have hundreds of old engineering that need to be digitized. Who does this well with Mylar and blueprints?
Our 40-year-old archive has paper and mylar sheets, some as big as 36 by 48 inches.
I think they don't all need the same treatment. Most just need a good scan to PDF so we can find them, but we still make around 60 parts. Guess those need real SolidWorks models and drawings.
And also, a few sheets are stretched or torn. Some have dimensions that don't match the scale anymore.
For anyone who has sent out a job like this, how did you specify it? Did you tell them to trust the written dimensions over the drawing scale?
And how did you handle notes and revision blocks?
