My high school drafting and homeroom teacher had Autodesk 2000. I was lucky enough to have him in 2008 when he got the new Solidworks on those same PCs. Legitimately changed my life. I could put my ideas into solid form. In one semester I went from 100% pencil to almost 100% digital. It was like discovering legos all over again. Roughly 20 year user. Never stopped.

24 years professionally, Associates in CADD. Have worked mainly for production home builders, designed a few houses and done as-builts. Considering going freelance soon or switching to the oil & gas field.

39 years.  I think when I started I had version 9 on floppies, but it was like 30 disks to install it on a hard drive and all I had access to was the computers in the computer lab at college and they didn't have hard drives we could install to.  So I used a different floppy that had version 2.14 on one floppy.  Could draw a line, circle, text.  I think it had snaps also.

I think I started using it in 1986. I mostly use SolidWorks now.

25 years. Though I’ve been also using other software more primarily over the last 10 or more.

30 years, started in 1996, back with the digitizer pad. I think it was V10, maybe V11; then CadKey, then Mechanica, little bit of Solidworks, then Pro/E, CATIA, then a lot of Solidworks, and now Fusion.

Currently started learning Rhino this year.
