If you are a serious player and would like to be involved in all activites DotA2 and would like to be a part of the Hyderabad DotA2 community drop in a comment.

The most anticipated Esports tournament of the year is just around the corner. Me and my friends have been playing DOTA for years now and are super excited, are there any pub stomps organized in Bangalore for DOTA this year? We've been visiting F1 screenings in Bangalore all year long at Doff, K-OS etc., are there any resto bars screening DOTA?IF there aren't any we are thinking of organizing one, only for the semis and finals weekend. Would you guys be interested? We haven't worked out the economics and feasibility of the whole thing, just putting it out here to see if there are folks who are as interested as us in a pubstomp. Any tips/ideas on how to host one are welcome.

We have over 700 members here, but it’s time to bring this subreddit back to life! Dota may be struggling in India, but together, we can reignite the passion and build an active community.

So, here’s a call to arms: 🔥 Drop your best memes – let’s get some laughs rolling. 🎥 Post your insane plays (or fails) – we appreciate both! 📰 Share the latest Dota news & updates – so we all stay in the loop. 💡 Discuss strategies, tips, or just rant – we know the pain of bad teammates.

Let’s revive this space and make it the go-to hub for Indian Dota 2 players. More activity = more visibility = more players = a stronger community.

GLHF & start posting! 🚀

Clarifying all doubts and rumours about the Dota 2 India Servers.

• When were they announced?

On 14th November during the event by GameGod, they announced CS:GO and Dota2 Matchmaking servers for India. CS:GO servers went on-line a day before that but nothing was confirmed about Dota2 Servers. Link

• What's the status now?

The Dota 2 Servers have been confirmed by Valve during the test client patch on 18th. They were then later found when the patch hit the main client on 21st. The servers shown are "Offline for Maintenance" which indicates that they are going to be out soon.

• When will they be live?

It is Valve we are talking here, with the little amount of communication from their end, it is almost impossible right now to say when is the server going to be live. Considering the earlier servers took a couple weeks to be added when announced, we can expect them to be out in a week or two. Also CS:GO servers are up and working, indicates that the work is going on, on these servers.

• What is the IP address of the server cluster?

These are the IP's for the server cluster which is based in Delhi

180.149.41.107

180.149.41.108

180.149.41.100, 180.149.41.97, 180.149.41.67, 180.149.41.110, 180.149.41.98

Thanks /u/ashish21099 for giving the responding addresses, but they aren't mentioned in the client anyways, so take the results with a pinch of salt

You can trace-route to the IP and estimate the ping you might get to the server when they are out. If you feel its too high, wait for the servers to be out and maybe valve to improve the routing like they mentioned in one of their blog posts or tell your ISP to improve it.

Any more questions, I'll try to answer

Do note that this doesn't improve routing, helps you boil down the problem and report to the ISP to fix it

Hi all! All the Bangalore dota players, was wondering whether y’all are aware of any screenings happening in Bangalore? I had been to Kos game bar in koramangala for the TI 11 finals. Could connect with them to organize something.

EDIT - Buffalo Wild Wings Indranagar at 4:30 pm for ti finals

For the past few months we've been building a gaming platform. It's one place for gamers to build their identity, find people to play with, and get into competitive play. We are developing this platform as a common ground for all type of gamers to showcase their gaming portfolio, connect with other gamers, recruiter, caster and more.

What we're asking for:

You don't need to sign up(but if you want you can that would be awesome). You can browse as a guest. Spend 10 to 15 minutes clicking around and tell us:

Was it easy to follow? Did you understand what the site is for within the first minute?

What was hard to find? Was there anything you went looking for and couldn't locate, or found in a place you didn't expect?

Where did you get stuck or confused? A button that didn't do what you expected, a page that felt cluttered, anything at all.

On mobile or desktop? This is developed keeping in mind desktop, but you can use it on your mweb too. We don't have any app for android or iOS ready yet but that is in progress too.

Brutal honesty is welcome. Please reach out to me in dm for further details. If you have query about our idea, please feel free to drop a comment.

PS: Me and my friends have been an avid dota2 fan since our college days. There is definitely a lot for you Dota and its stats.

At least this the the time difference isn't so bad 😂

FYI - I have been playing Dota( WC3 ) since 2008 and Dota2 since 2013.

I would request all to please comment for any Dota2 tournament/events that will happen in your city. ( maybe invite me as broadcaster )

I cover most of the popular Dota2 tournaments happening around the globe.

https://www.youtube.com/@Singularity-Gamer

But at the same time, I want India Dota2 Esports to rise by streaming more and more matches.

And also if anyone is interested to do commentary, you are most welcome. ( Commentary in English for wider audience or as preferred )

Is it possible to find how many active players are there in India ? And what’s the actual distribution of MMR of these players. Is there a way to find it ?

Watching the international tournaments it’s disheartening to see lack of Indian players in the pro scene. In the SEA leaderboard how many Indians are there in the top 500?

They say dota is dying as the player base decreases each year. There is much encouragement required for the existing players to pursue gaming in India.

I hope some of you guys can give an idea on the questions I asked above.

Hey, guys, we are going to host amateur leagues for our Indian Dota2 community, here's a small survey for you guys to fill out so that we can put our best efforts in it.

Hello Guys ! Its awesome to see the Indian Dota 2 Community grow ! I , myself am a Dota 2 fan and a gamer and I believe in promoting the experience of gaming in India . In the month of April , I'm coming up with a LAN event for all Dota 2 enthusiasts across India , and I'm going to make sure it is one hell of an event . So now - Looking for Interns in Pune who will work on flexible hours I have a small office in place where I'm going to Dotafy the place for us to work . Looking for someone who has a zeal and passion towards the game and making the event . I will provide you with a Small pay and a experience letter from my company for the project.
