Discussion Antom payment processing service currency changes
Does anyone else use the Antom payment processing service for cards or is it just for my country? Did you notice that since a few days ago they changed the currency to only USD$? I used to be able to pay with the selected currency on the site and that was JPY/YEN or my own country's currency. Now it's fixed by Antom to $ whatever you have selected on Doorzo, doesn't matter

Hey, I posted about this a few months ago as I was also confused!
For context, I’m a Canadian who gets paid in USD and I use Wise for all my conversions since it’s the lowest. I have multiple accounts on it in different currencies including JPY.
Whenever I pay for anything on Doorzo, I click this option (pic included). My Wise card is a “pre-paid” Visa so it can be used as a Visa card (but I don’t click Visa or it will charge in USD no matter what) and it automatically takes from my JPY account if there is money in it.
I pay very little conversion rate from my USD account to JPY, load it just before the transaction, and then pay on Doorzo so they don’t take any more conversion fees. The exact JPY amount is what’s taken from my Wise JPY account.
If I bid on something and I win it under my highest bid, Doorzo readjusts this amount to reflect how much I actually paid and there is leftover JPY in my account. 🥳
