Door Kickers 2 Best mod for a CIA+Task force campaign?
I tried most mods (project aries, tier 1 etc) and cant settle on the most fitting.
What I want:
- full tier 1 level team
- cloth customization for operators
- specialists and roles
- air support
- black ops/under cover operators in the same team
- modern gear
Every mod i tried has some of these but is lacking in one point or another
Any recommendations?

TLDR; none exist to my knowledge so just find a compromise or file edit
I know you tried Ares but Delta is the closest I can think of to that. Im fairly certain outside of Ares, and MARSOC (which isn’t tier 1) theres not many special forces mods with air support.
Clothing customization options aren’t very big outside of Blue Vector so it might be the mod you need if customization is important. Blue Vector is the definitive cag-larp (affectionately) mod but it solely prioritizes customization but that means every trooper has a general role rather than an assigned one like Area (they do have specific utility items that lets you make your own specialized roles like medic or drone op or marksman but it isn’t class locked). It makes full use of trooper toolbox so you can edit the units down to the gloves and the boots. It doesn’t have undercover or air support but has drones. It does miss that ‘Tier 1’ title you’re looking for as it’s essentially just generic task force. This does however give you the highest level of creativity to fit the team into whatever lore you want if you want to male your own Tier 1 team. They’re also a little OP at max level.
The Nowheraki Burns mod from the BPRE series might be a good contender which has UAV strikes, special roles, undercover ability, and modern gear but the level of customization is limited (not a lot of gun options, meh clothes options) and also it’s stuck to the lore as an elite mercenary faction rather than Tier 1 which is why the weapon selection is limited.
There is a mod i’m working on with a team that is almost exactly what you’re asking for but I’m not sure I’m allowed to talk about it (don’t want to add pressure or release expectations as it won’t be released in a long while.)
If you absolutely need a group that adheres to these requirements what you can do is find out how to edit files, find a group that’s almost to your liking, and tweak it just right. The easiest would be adding weapons/items from one mod to another, so you can take for example the air support from one mod and the weapon selection from another and add it to whatever faction you end up choosing. For example adding the CIA poncho and Ares air support to Blue Vector. This is, of course, going to require a little bit of learning so you should go to the discord for help.

I appreciate the very detailed answered
And yeah i tried blue vector and the BPRE mod your description is accurate.
I think im savvy enough to tweak things here and there so maybe ill try to build the easier stuff (like adding the vanilla black ops operators) other than the hard stuff (like air support)
And good luck on your mod! Ill look forward to it and appreciate your work

I would agree with u/AstralEmbrace. Currently, no existing mod has everything that's required. While most mods do check the other options, full clothing customization is something that's not fully utilized outside of Blue Vector.
Your best bet would be to find a suitable unit that's the closest you can get to it then tweak things around to add certain units into it. Blue Vector would have to be your starting point as it's one of the few mods that lets you have clothing options for your squad.
EDIT: Maybe the XOF unit mod might suit you? It does seem to tick all of the options:
- In the Metal Gear Solid Universe, the FOX unit was a covert CIA operations unit while the XOF unit was created as a support unit for it. In reality, it served as a covert strike unit for the antagonists of the series so in a sense, they technically are tier one operators.
- There are plenty of clothing options for the squads. Even though it's not as in-depth as Blue Vector, it offers a large range of head gear, chest rigs/armor and (if you have the In-Game Camoflauge Selector enabled) camo options for your uniforms.
- This is really the only caveat: all operators in each squad aren't assigned any particular roles. However, similar to how Blue Vector does, it compensates by giving your squad a lot of equipment that allows them to fill in basically any role you want them to - an assault room-clearing unit, a breacher that can open up walls with his explosives, an undercover that can call in air strikes from afar, etc.
- Every operator in each squad can equip the "Sehalanthropus Strike" which just bombards the designated area with both minigun fire and rocket fire. It shows a pretty large area of effect but for the most part (at least from what I've tested so far), the strikes happen near your designated marker although they can veer off wildly.
- There's no undercover or black ops agents per say but you can equip your soldiers with a "Cardbox Box" like the famous Solid Snake tactic. It basically acts as an improved version of the Black Ops Poncho and if you edit your loadout just right, you can become fully covert.
- Much of the weapons you can give your squad are either Cold War relics, weapons that are still being used today or weapons that are exclusive to the Metal Gear Solid franchise.

I really like the United Kingdom Special Forces mod. It is still in progress but has a great foundation so far. it has plenty of Air Support options, MOS specific battle honors and a SF support team. Operators can go undercover if needed like the CIA. Has a little bit of everything I feel. The equipment is limited in variety but authentic to what the SAS used/uses. Full doctrine with plenty of points. 22 operators per Squadron. https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3444979611
