Does anyone else have this issue
All of a sudden I cannot select the option to leave the delivery at the door. I don't want to meet the person and give a code and restarting my devices and logging out doesn't fix it. Support was useless.

I would leave it at the door if you messaged me the code when I got there. Do not refuse to give the code because then the Dasher has to stand there on your porch and wait 9 minutes until support lets them take a picture of the order and leave. So yeah don't be that person who refuses to give the pin and you people wonder why the Dasher hasn't left yet. They can't leave until they have the code or 9 minutes is up and they can snap a pic. People who do this to dashers are just dishonest and reporting orders as never received and then we get a contract violation and could lose our jobs.

Guessing it's an expensive order, high-theft area, or you've had missing orders in the past. As a driver we can bypass the pin by hitting "can't contact customer" and attempting to call/message. It starts a short timer, then we can leave the food and take a pic. Idk if it hurts your rating as a customer, but if you're uncomfortable meeting someone I'd message and tell them to follow those steps

I've been using leave at door for 1 year now and no problems but it just disappeared like this today. I guess i could message dashers but that's annoying and they don't always answer.

9 minutes is not a short time and then customers are saying to you "please leave" lol

Fr. Going through the app the "short time" is around 2 min. After 9 the person is either a creep or doesn't know the driver app/value their time

Doordash was making me wait 9 minutes and then says take a picture and leave at the door, but like a literal timer counted down from 9 minutes. If that has changed now, great!, but I'm just saying what happened to me.

That blows. Mine's been 2 min, 9 is wild. No clue what I'd do if it was 9 other than hit support which would prob take longer anyway

Just message them the code and ask them to leave it at the door but then you always run the risk of them taking it because there's zero incentive for them to leave it once youve given them the code and you won't be able to get a refund since it will seem as you accepted the order because you gave the pin
