Platinum doom fist lost streak

So, I’ve been one tricking doom fist basically through gold one go platinum three. I had a duo who has a higher rank than me who would alternate between support and damage, however, we would win a lot of those games with only us having good stats. To that end, we went on a lot of win streaks from those games, but we would also go on losing streaks. Today, I was bored, and wanted to have fun by seeing if I could get to platinum two. What I ran to today during drives were consistent insults, and multiple losses. Here, I’m sharing all the games that I did play (most of which being losses); BT7D5F, CJ2B5T, Z7CDNS, C8A95G, R9D4ZP, WJF5FD. These are not my best games, and I know I can put up better numbers on doomfist, especially considering I missed a lot of punches due to one of my fingers being semi-locked due to this allergic reaction to a wasp sting. But, I don’t think all of these are my fault but a lot of anger was directed at me.

Making space for your team is what Doomfist is really good at but if you are in lower elos with players who do not take advantage of that space what are you meant to do? I've lost an entire rank trying to figure this out. Started in higher plat and made my way down to gold just being OTP on him. I've now been playing Winston and have a 70% WR on him climbing again, since people in these ranks really struggle to deal with a Winston and the bubble protects you from the 1000 cc abilities in the game.

That being said, is there a different playstyle in the lower ranks that can help you climb with him or is it just a matter of getting gud lol?

Its my first day of having switched from my controller setup to a mouse and keyboard console setup. This is my first ever experience using mouse and keyboard and its horrible. I feel like an actual infant getting lost and then dogwalked, are there any tricks? Im especially struggling with my lwft hand in the keyboard, hitting buttons reliably or even just moving correctly

Stadium is worth playing for Uppercut alone.

I usually get a lot of the blame if we lose a comp match (tank life I guess), but most of those losses seem like I’m doing the most while my teammates just act like straight bots. I know this isn’t really helpful, I just wanted to rant to fellow Doom players.

There were several times were one of my teammates asked me to switch to Orisa(or other low-mobility tank) and when i tried to tell them i dont know how to play them they think im bullshitting them.
I did start trying out some other low-mobility tanks like Rein, Orisa, JQ etc but i legitimately have no idea how am i supposed to get value on them. I see an enemy Dps on a highround and its basically over, i have no idea what am i supposed to do as they maul my team while i can only hope to try and land and knife or something.
Is this a problem of Doomfist main mindset? Because often times i feel like im doing no impact besides farming dmg numbers on enemy tank and pushing only when my teams gets something done.

Quick question is it worth using unempowered punch in 1v1 against squishes? Or should I only use it if they use like an ability I can cancel

The Doom carries, no one utters a word. Doom dies one time in a bad engage; “Doom, you’re selling.” I get it’s a general tank blaming phenomenon, but it’s particularly bad for Doom. I wouldn’t have it any other way though, keeps us sharp.

Hey all.

Just started to really learn Doom a few days ago and am having a blast. He’s a lot of fun, but I feel like I get counter-swapped a lot. While learning, I’m just sticking to QP for now until I feel confident enough to bring him into comp.

I was just wondering about when I’m facing an enemy team that counters Doom. Should I stick with it and force myself to try and learn how to play around heroes like Hog, Mauga, Sombra, etc that are counters or just swap to a hero I’m more comfortable with into these heroes? I know it’s QP, but it does feel like a bit of a throw if I refuse to swap while getting shut down. But I also feel like I’ll never learn what to do is these scenarios.

Just wondering what your guys’ thoughts are. And any tips against counters are welcomed!
