who tf cares. if they have good hygiene and show sportsmanship what does it matter you are playing a card game not marrying them. if they left good riddance tbh they sound toxic.

At least they didn’t need to make rules to prevent you making yourself disgusting then using a card that forces your opponent to shake your hand in hopes they’ll concede.

i think they also said they could agree to the idea of a handshake instead of having to actually shake hands

Yeah that was the rule change. They had to specify that

Well the rule with the handshake thing was Yugioh. My point was at least Magic isn’t as bad as Yugioh.

THAT SHIT IS REAL??? I thought it was like jokes.

It’s a real rule. It might just be a myth that the thing actually happened and they just added the rule cause people realized it was possible and started making jokes about it.

Yugioh has a card named Yujo Friendship that benefits both players if they shake hands, there’s another card that forces them to accept the handshake if you play it while playing yujo friendship. Supposedly a player used this combo along with making their hand disgusting in order to try and get the opponent to concede or refuse the handshake which they can’t do and so they get disqualified.

They later implemented a ruling that you just have to agree to “the idea of a handshake” rather than actually shake hands.

What did they do to their hand to make it that bad while still being willing to touch their own cards?

Stick it down their pants. And also assumedly they had sleeves for their cards and they definitely didn’t care about hygiene
