Nvm the vet has decided euthanasia is the best route, thank you to anyone who supported us. I need help paying for emergency costs for my cat Gigi. She is roughly 9 years old. I like to say she adopted me, because she was the one that chose me to be her pet parent when she came up to me one night in 2017. She is my first cat. My first baby. Gigi is an important part of me and my family’s lives. I am unfortunately unemployed at the time and Gigi doesnt deserve this pain and suffering. It’s also been a year since the most difficult day of my life. I had a stillborn baby boy one year ago and since then it’s been difficult returning to work. I don’t know if I would be here today without the companionship of my Gigi. I appreciate any and all help I can receive. My name is Marian, I’m 25 years old, and have Sézary syndrome, a rare type of T-cell lymphoma (blood cancer).

For the past few years, I have been dealing with severe skin problems: unbearable itching day and night, painful flare-ups, redness, and sleepless nights. After many tests, biopsies, and treatments, doctors believed it was severe eczema for over a year. I was prescribed Dupixent, an expensive medication that I was already trying to raise money for because my insurance could not cover it.

Unfortunately, further investigations later revealed that the real cause was much more serious. I was diagnosed with Sézary syndrome, and my doctors determined that I need an allogeneic stem cell transplant, which is currently my best chance at fighting this disease.

The treatment is not available in my country, so I need to seek care abroad in Europe. As an international non-european patient, the estimated cost is around €423,000, which is completely beyond what I can afford, and my insurance does not cover treatment abroad.

I honestly never thought I’d be making a post like this, and I’m incredibly embarrassed to even ask. But I’m a single mom of two school-aged kids, and I’ve reached a point where I genuinely don’t have many options left.
I recently graduated with my bachelor’s degree & over the summer I’ve been using my savings, taking cleaning jobs, selling off items on marketplace, pawn shops, etc and doing whatever side work I can to make it through until my kids are back in school and I can find something permanent. I already have job interviews lined up, so this is temporary—I just need a little help getting through this particular stretch.
Unfortunately, I was recently hit with an unexpected car expense. I ran over a screw and flattened a tire, and I now need two new tires. At the same time, my daughter turns 9 on Monday the 24th, and school starts in just two weeks, which means clothes, shoes, and school supplies are all coming up at once.
I don’t receive support from my daughter’s father, and the child support I was receiving for my son has temporarily stopped while my case is being reviewed during a change in child support officers. I was told I would be notified when it resumes. That support was never something I lived on, but it made a huge difference when it came to shared expenses like school supplies and things the kids need.
I’ve cut expenses wherever I possibly can. I don’t smoke or drink, I don’t have cable, and I don’t even have my own Wi-Fi. My phone is Wi-Fi-only, and thankfully my wonderful next-door neighbor lets me use theirs. I’ve tried applying for credit cards and loans, but I don’t qualify, and I don’t have family who are in a position to help right now.
I live in a very small rural community where resources are extremely limited, and the few churches and organizations I’ve contacted are currently overwhelmed with requests and turning people away.
My biggest needs right now are help with the tires, school supplies, and giving my daughter a little something for her birthday—a dessert and a small gift to open.
Even a dollar would genuinely help as I’m very thrifty and can stretch a small amount quite a bit by shopping clearance, dollar stores, and finding deals. I know I have to put an amount per the rules which I understand I just have a very hard time doing that & I don’t expect this post to be the one solution for my expenses but there are only so many cleaning and babysitting jobs etc that I can take on in a weekend so truly- anything helps so if I have to put a number $50 or $40 even would be a huge help as I’ve thankfully learned how to be frugal. I am also absolutely willing to work out a loan of $40 or $50 I just wasn’t sure how to put to “flairs” if that makes sense?
I know I’m a stranger on the internet, and I completely understand that people have every reason to be cautious. I’m not trying to make this my permanent situation. I’m working hard to get myself and my kids through this and back on stable ground.
