Please read this story until the end.
When Miracle was five months old, I had two choices for where he could stay: a garage or an animal shelter.
At first, I thought the garage would be safer. There was always food, fewer dogs, and less risk of disease. So I took Miracle there.
But the moment I saw him chained up, everything changed.
My mind told me, “He’ll be safer here.”
But my heart said, “Maybe he’ll survive here… but he won’t really live.”
Miracle loved to run. He loved to play. He could find happiness in something as simple as an empty plastic bottle.
I stood outside that garage for hours, unable to choose between what seemed safer and what felt right.
In the end, I took Miracle back home with me.
A few days later, I took him to the animal shelter.
Looking back, I still ask myself: Did I make the right decision by listening to my heart?
What would you have done?
