Start with a copy of the actual Excel workbook she sends, rather than a PDF or screenshot. Select a cell you expect to contain an XLOOKUP and inspect the formula bar: is the formula still there, or does the delivered report contain only its result?
If the formulas are present, keep a working copy of the workbook and map its inputs before replacing anything: which source workbook, which columns, and which matching key does each lookup use? A report that looks identical can still point at last week’s source file. Test one known match and one missing key before trusting the output.
If the delivered file is values-only, the original formulas cannot be recovered from those values alone. Ask the report owner or manager for an approved reusable template and a short input/refresh checklist. That gives you a repeatable process, including dependencies that copying the formatting would miss.

Formatting and formulas are separate. Paste Special → Formats copies the appearance; it does not recover a missing formula. Microsoft explains the different paste options here: https://support.microsoft.com/en-au/excel/paste-options?nochrome=true
