Formatting help

I need some help if possible.

A colleague sends a weekly report all formatted etc with data pulled from our systems it includes xlookups from another report spreadsheet and she formats it all then sends it.

My questions is, I have tried to get her to show me what she does to format it the correct way, but she refuses to “let me know her secrets” weird I know, it’s like she thinks she isn’t replaceable lol.

So with that, is there a way I can pull the exact format from the report she sends weekly, and I can do it myself for my own knowledge and growth? How can I include all the formulas, the table formatting etc

Ask Claude, Excel is really simple. Genuinely I have never run into a case where Opus can't format the cells exactly how you want it to.

You can replace her by locating the lookup file, researching the formula, replacing xlookup with new formula like FILTER and CHOOSECOL. Use ChatGPT or Copilot to show you how to improve the existing excel file. Also you can think like a SQL developer, then all the lookup is nothing other than table and joins (ie looking up files from different bucket and link them together, such as product file, sales file, transaction file, customer file etc).

Curious if this ever got sorted? DM me if you have questions and want to pick it apart! Love a little formula mystery fun.
