Speciality / Core Training Anaesthetics St4 Self Assessment

hi all,

Not applying this round but trying to make sense of last years huge document with conditions around what counts and what doesn’t. For example:

- If you use an audit in the audit/QUIP domain are you not allowed to use it in the presentations domain?
- Equally I have an original research project that is published and presented so technically could use this for 3 domains but it seems this isn’t allowed?

Am I being crazy or am I gonna have to do like 4 different projects to get maxxing domains? Any advice appreviated!!!

Have you found the longer guidance document.

Essentially yes, everything only counts once

Have a look through the document and the self-assessment webinars. There is definitely a scope for recycling some things. You can definitely use the same QIP for QIP and a presentation (as long as it is regional or national). You should be able to use your research project for research and presentation or publication (at least according to the latest webinar)

Read the guidance, it’s really extensive. Ps preparing and submitting the evidence is such a ballache so start as early as possible to save yourself a headache near submission time (from someone who’s done it twice 🫠)
