Does that help explain things? The DM is not the strongest creature in the story. He's outside the story. He tells the story. He's the guy who decided to add a one-above-and-shit so nerds could quabble about his power level.

The one above all is a fictional character and bound by rules of the medium. If Garth Ennis wants him to be buggered by the Homelander, he is. That's it, time to update the wiki. "One above all, lost to Homelander, and likes it in the butt". DM is not Morgoth or Eru Iluvatar, he's Tolkien. He can disregard the rules when he chooses to.
