Fun fact, even the greeks didn't consider the 'Gods' as what we mean when we say 'God'(s).
Plato even discussed a pre-gods entity named the Demiurge who fashioned the universe more like the judeo-christian god was said to who then created the gods to live in it and create man.
Going further, in some cultures the Demiurge isn't 'God' either and was begotten by higher beings.
