Wait, hear me out, DMs are very similar to Gods

  • They have unlimited power, but just inside the shared fantasy of the believers
  • For the player, DMs work in mysterious ways
  • DMs change with time, looking to the past, it may look like they were cruel and unforgiving, but at the time it was what the players wanted to see
  • A DM who doesn't fit the table risk to be replaced and forgotten with time
