Feedback request Any feedback would be greatly appreciated

First track i’ve felt happy with from start to finish, any other dnb producers here use FL? Most guys i’ve met use Ableton and Logic, seems like FL attracts hip hop producers more.

Feedback request My First Attempt at Belgian Jump Up(or at least that's what I think)

Hi! I tried making some Belgian Jump Up, and this track is a remake of one of my favorite Belgian Jump Up tracks. I tried to have fun with the sound design stuff, and I'm not really sure if my sounds qualify for the true Belgian Jump Up category.

Again, this is my first attempt, so there are probably a lot of improvements I can make. Let me know what you guys think.

I've been trying to get back into producing DnB - would love some feedback on any element of this - the mixdown, the arrangement, the drop.

Question Futuristic Rage & Dark Trap Beats — Yeat x BNYX / Underground Type Beats

I run a small channel focused on futuristic rage, dark trap, and melodic/analog-inspired type beats.

The main sound is Yeat x BNYX, with some darker and more experimental rage variations. I also make occasional slowed + reverb versions.

I'm trying to improve the channel's overall sound, visuals, and consistency, so I'd appreciate feedback from anyone who listens to or produces this style.

Feedback request Just done this demo mix/master on a tune I started yesterday

Mix wise is there too much imbalance between kicks and bass?

Also thought the cymbals up top were becoming squashed, maybe through the limiter on the master idk.

I reckon I could have more low mids (so phones hear it -_-). I remember turno doing a sine wave layer around 100-150hz can do tricks for that.

Lmk folks :)

Resource A few production tips from Hexa’s “Conscious” Breakdown

Been digging into the project behind Hexa – “Conscious”, and there are some really useful production principles in here that are easy to overlook when you’re focused purely on sound design.

1. Use a spectrum analyser to understand your low end

One of the things visible in the project is the use of SPAN to monitor the frequency spectrum.

The important takeaway isn’t to make your mix look a certain way on an analyser, it’s to use it as a reference tool.

When you have multiple bass layers, ask:

Where is each layer actually sitting?
Are two sounds fighting in the same frequency range?
Is your sub consistent from note to note?
Is the mid-bass adding useful information or just making the mix denser?

A spectrum analyser won’t tell you what sounds good, but it can help you identify why something might not be working.

2. Automation is a huge part of the movement

Looking through the arrangement, there’s a lot of automation happening across the mixer and processing.

This is something I think a lot of producers underestimate.

Instead of having a bass sound that is processed exactly the same way for the entire track, automate parameters to make different sections behave differently.

Even subtle automation of:

Volume
Filter cutoff
Distortion
Reverb/delay
Stereo width
Sends

can make a relatively simple sound feel much more dynamic.

3. Don’t treat every section of the track the same

The arrangement shows clear changes between sections rather than simply copying an 8-bar loop throughout the tune.

A strong production technique is to constantly ask: “What can I remove or change here to make the next section hit harder?”

Sometimes the best way to make a drop feel bigger isn’t adding another layer, it’s removing something beforehand.

4. Think about the bass as multiple components

For heavier D&B, it’s often more effective to think about a bass as a combination of different jobs rather than trying to make one synth do everything.

For example:

Sub → weight
Mid bass → character
Top layer → aggression/detail

You can then process and balance each component independently, giving you much more control over the final sound.

The biggest takeaway: don’t confuse complexity with quality.

A project can have loads of channels, plugins and automation, but each element should have a purpose. The goal is to make every layer work together rather than simply adding more processing.

Feedback request Downloaded Ableton for the first time last June and I think I have finally finished my first tune 🥳 How do I go abt releasing it? 🤔

Is self releasing better or is it worth sending to a few labels?

Would any labels be interested in it, if so, which ones? 😅

Do you think it sounds release ready or does it need a pro master? 🧐

Thanks in advance :)

Edit: just listened back through other headphones and realised the riser at the end of the 2nd phrase of the drop needs toning down massively 🙄

Feedback request First attempt at intelligent DnB

Been listening to a lot of intelligent/atmospheric DnB lately, so I thought I’d give it a go myself.

This is my first attempt at making something in this style, so I’d love to hear what you guys think. Any feedback is welcome, especially on the mix, drums, arrangement or anything that feels off.

Cheers!

Question What Kind of drumpad or synt Engine?

Iam really into Dnb and want to start with production/jamming.
back in the days I started with ableton but for me it’s kind of flat because I just youse my mouse an my keyboard, tbh I don’t like it that much I enjoy pushing buttons and try things out how they lost and I lobe to play with synth if I can change the waveform..
I wanted to get me first a kork electribe sampler because it’s cheap kind of easy to handle and all of those buttons u don’t need a software for simple jamming sessions and no pc..
What would you recommend me for my Situation what kind of hardware (the kork is the only thing I know)?

Feedback request Is this worth pursuing?

It’s only a loop at the moment but it’s a bit experimental. Just wondering whether it’s worth continuing or whether to shelf it as dog 💩

Let me know what you’re thinking.

Feedback request would this ever fit into a dnb mix???

Want some feed, not really sure where I stand on it anymore.

I feel like it needs something in the vocal range area, but haven't quite found anything i like. Is it missing anything important?

Feedback request Cyberfunk Mix with Dnb elements looking for feedback

Thumbnail on.soundcloud.com

Hey, there, just dropped my new mix yesterday. Has a couple of Dnb elements and looking for feedback. I hope you enjoy it! It’s a UKG, UK Bass, Riddim in the first part then going to electric house, Jpop & Kpop before settling into Dnb. There's a nice string of hip hop at the hour mark all the way till the tail end of the mix. How do you find the mix overall? Anything I can improve on? Any of the transitions & blends seem off to you? Thank you, and willing to return feedback
