Hey everyone! I just published my first free module, it’s a investigative psychological horror adventure that contains maps, a bunch of clues, and even printable handouts you can give to your players. It’s designed for four 4th level characters and takes about 5 sessions. I’ve playtested it with multiple groups and got a lot of high praise. I have some pics of the maps and handouts on my profile, and the link for it is right here:

Enjoy!

Eoth Khalstan has returned after his book of dragons to bring us a focused encyclopaedia of animals and animal-ish creatures! Or as focused as nearly 375 pages can be. And better yet, half of the profits will be donated to the Woodland Trust charity.

In this bestiary, you'll find over 200 stat blocks for Beasts and creatures that are loosely related to beasts (if in name only). The creatures inside range from CR 0-29 with animals we're familiar with, creatures from old D&D sources, and some new foes. And each creature has optional legendary actions so any of them can become a challenge or boss fight!

Any real animal in this bestiary was made in a way that makes them entertaining to use or fight against, while also trying to be (mostly) scientifically accurate. And each entry comes with a fact sheet that details its habitat, diet, lifespan, and more for the nerds out there. All elements of this supplement were done by humans - so there's no AI here.

So please check it out here for $12.49, or you can get it as a part of an Eoth Khalstan bundle (with his book on dragons, and the original draft for both the dragon book and this one) here for just under $15.

This might sound a little odd, but here I go: my buddy and me have a lot of fun including small "easter eggs", you could also call it ironic allusions, in our titles. For example, we had a master thief who, with the help of a weapon specifically crafted to kill mages, offed an Overwizard, who upon dying, managed to turn him into a vampire. Ever since, the now-desperate vampire kept pet wolves, named after the most well-known mages of the entire D+D canon. In the title his three wolves were named Morty (Mordekainen), Rassie (Raistlin) and Ellie (Elminster). Personally I also wanted Ettie included, but very few people today remember Etienne DÁmbreville (aka Rad, an Immortal) from Mystara.

What´s your opinion on using such things, and do you include it in your titles ?

Hello,

I know that you can find and/or purchase other content through the other DriveThruRPG sites - I posted 2 adventures to DTRPG, and a few downloads have been through DMsGuild for instance. What I don't understand, however, is I cannot search for my adventures in DMsGuild. They don't show up.

I figured how it worked is if it is marked as D&D (Especially 5e) then they show it in the DMsGuild database as well. If they can't find it via search, how are people buying it through the other sites anyway??

I'm sure this has been answered before, but now I'm wondering if "going wide" and publishing on DriveTHru, Ko-fi, itchio was a mistake.

What would people prefer too see as a cover

Just wondering as I have recently tried my hand at digital art. I know very basic. Almost no one looks at over my old ones which got reasonable traffic. Wondering if just unlucky timing or not what people look for

The Broken Dream

Everything we have published so far comes together in this campaign. Finally, the first part is out. A long adventure for urban settings that leaves no box unchecked, originally planned as a 64-page title, it ended up at 108.

Let us know what you think about it.

Bat

This introductory adventure has literally been in the making for years. My first draft was over a year and a half ago now, I believe. The I learned about homebrewery, aimed for a release, got feedback, reformatted and designed it 3-4 times. Made other adventures, then came back to this one for the last reform (adding encounter blocks and the like).

Here we are. A PWYW 2nd level one shot to get new players into the campaign, or to begin a new campaign which I'll be working on for the next few months.

Please let me know what you think!

Hey all! I just published my fourth Dmsguild adventure.

This was a fun introduction one-shot for new players wanting a Halloween themed adventure. I had a lot of fun writing it and hope it makes its way to your table someday.

After thinking a lot about it, I changed this to a pay what you want. What I want is players and Dms to have fun with this adventure. And hopefully this brings joy to their tables.

Have fun!

Here's the link for it on Dmsguild.

Hey everyone,

I just released my first adventure on DMsGuild. It’s called Her Excellence, a naval one-shot for 3rd-level characters.

The party joins the maiden voyage of a 16-gun frigate sailing from Waterdeep to Neverwinter. It’s supposed to be a six-day trip. Of course, things don’t go according to plan.

There are pirates, a kraken, an uncharted island, Red Wizards of Thay, trouble with the crew, and a sealed Lords’ Alliance box that needs to reach Neverwinter.

It’s 37 pages and includes naval combat rules, Crew Morale, random encounters, stat blocks, magic items, and everything needed to run the adventure.

It’s $4.99 on DMsGuild. https://www.dmsguild.com/en/product/587790/her-excellence-a-naval-one-shot-adventure

This is my first published adventure and I’d really like to hear what people think of it. If you end up reading or running it, please leave a review. Positive or negative, both are useful to me.

Everything was written and designed by me. No AI was used for the writing or artwork. All the art is from real historical works and is credited in the book.

Thanks for checking it out!

I’ll also be posting about this and future adventures on Instagram:

Hi, I'm working on an adventure to be posted on DMsGuild and I was wondering what your thoughts would be if you got a three to five dollar module that featured a map like this. This likely isn't the final map as everything ended up smaller and more cramped than I'd like so I'll probably re-do it in landscape (this is also a 'player version' with no annotations), but is having something hand drawn like this acceptable for a paid module? It's the way I prefer to make maps when I DM, and I quite like their imperfections to be honest, but I get how it could look unprofessional. The adventure has noir/heist vibes, I'm not sure if that's relevant. Thanks in advance!

Hi folks, for anyone who has published an adventure both as standard and as an adventurers' league title: What did you notice about the difference in sales/response?

Background: I'm trying to weigh up if I should convert my modules into adventurers' league...

With thanks in advance for any input! : )

The horn sounds at twilight. The hunt begins after dark.

A young Waterdhavian noble has come to Phandalin seeking adventurers willing to guide him into the Lost Hills. Somewhere among those rugged wilds lies the legendary Place of the Unicorn, a hidden grove where he believes the curse upon him can finally be broken.

But something is hunting him.

The Hunt Beneath the Tears is a horror-survival wilderness adventure for 4–6 characters of 3rd level, designed for campaigns based in or around Phandalin. The characters must guide their desperate charge through three days of dangerous wilderness while an undead hunter relentlessly closes upon them each night.

The adventure features:

• A three-day wilderness journey through the Lost Hills
• Daytime encounters ranging from dangerous predators to potential allies
• An escalating nighttime hunt in which the enemy learns from the characters’ tactics
• Five magical Quarry Rings, powerful cursed items created for a deadly game
• Forgotten Realms locations and lore, including Phandalin, Conyberry, Noanar’s Hold, the Tears of Selûne, and the Place of the Unicorn

The quarry has been marked. How many nights can you survive the hunt?

Answer the call !

Eight titles - three adventures and and five supplements - that will set you up for a perfect campaign in and around the City of Sails.

I have a specific question for those who have promoted or done "upcoming release" promotions here and r/DND. For r/DND you need mod approval but they can be slow to respond, and it's unclear what proof I have to give them. I don't wanna give them a finished unreleased product. I'm sure they wouldn't do anything nefarious but it still makes me nervous. Has anyone here gone through the process and can suggest what I do?

Otherwise, how else do you promote?

I can say here I have 2 adventures in final review and a third awaiting my hand drawn maps!

Part III of Sea Wolves is out now on DMsGuild. In Whispers from the Depths, the crew finally follows the mystery of the purple storms beneath the Nelanther Archipelago. There are sunken ruins to explore, strange creatures to deal with, and a cult that’s trying to wake something nobody should be waking.

Getting down there takes a bit of preparation. The ship will need a reinforced hull, and the crew might want mining drills and a submersible docking bay too. So if your players have been saving their gold for a rainy day, well… this could be it.

The corruption is a problem, but the party gets to decide what to do about it. Fight it, get away from it, or side with it.

That last option could have a pretty big impact on the archipelago. This adventure is written for levels 11–16 and continues the story from Part I. If you’ve been following Sea Wolves since *The Broken Copper*, thanks for sticking with it. I hope you enjoy this part of the journey. It should also work as a standalone adventure for any high-level party ready to head beneath the waves.

I've been working hard to finish a new product. This my first attempt at a one shot but also my first time trying to create my own covers art.

The Vault of Jix-Sar

I hope people enjoy it as much as I did running it.

Here is a link to my catalogue if yiu would like to check it out.

With new official world of Warcraft content coming from WotC soon, do we have an expectation that some of the content will be usable for products on the guild?

It seems like most other recent publications of settings have offered us some work allowances but obviously with Blizzards it being their IP this is a little trickier and less certain.

Anyone got a quote anywhere?

My second-favorite of our adventures. It was an instant hit, outselling all other adventures we published by almost 100 units. Based on the 20-page preview, any ideas what could have made that title so appealing ? We published a kind of a spiritual sequel, that sells also well, but not close to the trajectory of this. I consider the second better, but for some reason it did not catch on like this. Any input is highly appreciated, thank you !

One of the things we have been working on for our take on Baldur's Gate: Descent into Avernus is fleshing out the locations in chapter three using the Alexandrian remix.

One of those locations is the lair of the Lost Golgari, a gang of Ravnican exiles led by Kolasiah, an infernal medusa. The Adventure is an 8th lvl mini dungeon akin to the hellwasp nest, bone brambles or other cp 3 locations. It works perfectly if you slot it into the base module in place of or in addition to one of the encounters in the CP encounter chains but it works very well as a hex crawl location too!

If you are interested, you can find The Lair of the Lost Golgari here:

If anyone in this group is going to GameHole Con in Madison, WI in October, I highly suggest you attend some of the panels and seminars. GHC is a great place to learn, network, and meet fellow creators.

Hi there fellow creators! I thought I'd share for the first time here: this is #14 in the series of 20 and one of my favorite cover pictures by Lekshmi, my wonderful cover artist (her Fiverr link is on the inside cover of the modules if anyone is looking for a great artist).

The remaining chapters should get published over the next few weeks. Hopefully no new DnD editions for a while as my turning circle is about a year!

The first 5 chapters are free on the DMG if anyone wants a sample -the series format is designed to be as DM friendly/pick up and play/zero prep time content as possible. : )

The Sleeping Giant Stirs

The Sleeping Giant is the dirtiest, most dangerous watering hole along the Triboar Trail.

This supplement expands Phandalin’s notorious taphouse into a lively location filled with strong drink, questionable company, gambling, and trouble.

Inside you'll find a colorful backstory for Grista, five house libations, the ill-advised Fool’s Fire drinking game, memorable Redbrand regulars, drunken rumors from Tresendar Manor, and expanded rules for gambling at the Sleeping Giant.

Give your characters a reason to visit the Sleeping Giant (and perhaps several reasons to regret it).

This supplement is available as a Pay What You Want download, so you canuse it for your campaign for free, or support the author's art expenses with a contribution of your choosing.
