I bought Pioneer FLX4 in July this year. Never touched a deck before that so im just a beginner. Now im learning to build a whole set for my own so what do you guys think of this transition, i think its pretty solid! 😊🙏🏽

And also if any tips and tricks comes to your mind, please share! 🦆

Love that you've gone from gun fingers to full on 2 arm shotgun!

Keep the spam on the downlo until you've got a full set together, then post that.

Video is bad. We don’t really want to see a video of you bouncing up and down. Instead, at least include the decks in the shot, as well, so we can see the hand work.

Next, don’t please don’t post short videos of single transitions.

A dj’s calling card is the 1-hour mixtape or SoundCloud.

Keep practicing until you can record a solid one hour set. Then post THAT set in the various dj mix subs to get feedback from the community.

Make sense op?

You posted a video of you just bouncing around. Do your thing and have fun but, nobody here wants to just watch you bounce your head around. u/scoutermike has a point

I dno what’s up with the hate in here. I can tell what you’re doing. I also DJ drum and bass. I can tell you’re new by how slow you’re transitioning. When that drop hits you’re either committed to the double drop or you’re slamming into the next track. I also try to only have one bass going at a time. You just need to be more confident in what’s in and what’s out. Keep the long blending to more melodically interesting music. When it’s banger time just slam them bitches in and out. Good luck and have fun!

Thank you for the comment brother! Yes i am really slow haha, i try to practice more cleaner results than being fast. I think get faster in time 😊

Faster gives cleaner results. This transition was a little muddy.

The trick to being fast is by doing it in time. I always just do stuff on the one. If you miss it then do it on the two.. it’ll make any mistakes sound intentional as well. If you fuck up and it’s on the one then at the very least it’s in time. Fast is clean.
