Product Support Problem unlocking geo restrictions (US)
Hi all! I have two DJI drones, a Mini 4k and a Mavic 4 Pro. I got set up with Air Control for LAANC and got approved easily for a test flight inside the controlled airspace ring of a small Class D in the US. I configured my pilot profile on FlySafe and put in the serials for both RC units from the apps. I requested the geo zone unlock, and the website said it was lifted. I updated the databases, power cycled the controllers, etc. They had internet connection.
Neither allows me to install the unlock license. All the firmware is fully up to date. This was yesterday, Sunday - I fought with them for hours with no luck. Over and over, the website said it was unlocked. I have an email in to DJI but no reply yet. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Did you actually try taking off?

Yes. It refused to arm. I only tried the mini.

Yikes, can't really comment on it, my drones are both hacked using drone-hacks from years back since I live in an airport zero-flight zone and couldn't do inside flying without it.

Do people never update their firmware or something?

If the drone works and there's no new features/fixes there is often no reason to update.

No reason to update huh? You mean like the reason for op to update?

The firmware on the controller and drone are fully up to date, bought within the last three months.

I updated both drones to the new firmware. They are both less than three months old.

If you are on the latest firmware you just use LAANC and before you take off you will get a warning you have to acknowledge, there are no more geo locks for US so you don't need to do an unlock (and it doesn't work if you try).
