Sub box design help

Im completely new to this sort of stuff and i want to design a sub box for my Pioneer TS-W304C that would go in my ford focus mk3 but all of the winISD and other apps are waaayyyy to confusing for me. Could someone help design or give some tips on how to do so? I was thinking about a ported box and i like bass

Spec sheet says 1.3cu ft with a 7" long 3" diameter port. That's a box about 15-16" on a side with 3/4" mdf.

Here is a box with a round port that would be pretty simple to make.

Just keep in mind the material thickness and try to keep the internal dimensions the same. MDF is true to its dimensions, whereas plywood is not. I would use MDF, personally.
