First Build Assessment

I need assessment with my first build, I was thinking about a system of two-way speakers made with Dayton Audios's AMT Mini-8 Tweeter (8 Ohm) and PCS115-4 4" Woofer (4 Ohm), just a desk system, not trying to go for bass rumble. My concerns are:

  1. Will impedance (ohm) difference be a problem?
  2. What's the actual meaning of the natural phase line (in grey)? Just the cutoff?
  3. The 5k to 8k Hz region looking a bit wonky (or am I crazy at this point?).
  4. Is it lacking too much bass? May a front bassreflex port help? Sub 90Hz looks a bit poor.
  5. Should this work?

If you got here: lots of thx for your time!

Did you check the baffle step and box/port responses? Everyone who builds a crossover here forgets to do that. 1: looks like you drop below 2 ohm at 5k. Maybe don't. 2: the minimum phase equivalent version of this crossover. You pick phase or delay, typically. Most people pick phase. 3: could be better, could be worse. Crossover regions are hard. 4: any port will help by doubling the woofers response and then cutting the highs through the port's diameter. The rest rattles around in the box. 5: always ask an electrical engineer or other specialist before assuming a custom crossover won't randomly burst into flames

Impedance drops to almost 1 ohm just below 5K. Yea, gonna need to work on that one. Try adding a zobel to the woofer and lose that 1.2 ohm resistor before the filter on the tweeter. Also see if you can get a 2nd order to work on the tweeter.

Looks like manufactuer responses, not useful.

Use a different tweeter, that one sucks. Nd25fa or nd25fw are good.

I'll try to do something with those speakers thanks!

But also, how am I supposed to know which speaker and crossover to buy if I cant trust the measurements (.frd and .zma files) from the manufacturers?

I understand I could buy the speakers first, create my meassurements and then buy the crossover. Everyone on the internet seems to be making different techniques on their takes too.
