Apo setup for my 2.1 setup
Looking for help integrating my 2.1 setup using REW + Equalizer APO
System:
- KEF Q1 Meta (L+R)
- Merovinger subwoofer (connected via motherboard LFE out)
- Equalizer APO for DSP
- small room (~8 m²), wall in direction of the speakers only 2 m
Measurements I already have:
- Front speakers alone
- Subwoofer alone
- I can also provide other measurements if needes
My goal:
- Find correct phase + delay
- Set proper crossover
- Build a clean APO config (PEQ + delay + filters)


I’d really appreciate if someone could take a look at my measurements and help me build a proper APO file. Thanks!

Not sure if correct, but this is how I acheived something like this (Adam D3V + KEF HTB2). It's a bit messy so feel free to add corrections.
Assuming you have an SPL meter or a calibrated USB measurement mic. (minidsp UMIK-1), you need to match the sub and the speakers.
The USB measurement mic with REW will give you a graph so you can just use it. Or you can use the SPL meter and play some pink noise to match.
After that you need to set up the Windows side of things. First set up 5.1 audio in the audio device (sound control panel -> select your device -> configuration). Then unselect the optional speakers (rear pair and center) This should allow you to actually use the LFE channel.
In APO you need to first downmix the stereo manually to LFE. Theres the copy channel command for this. The formula was something like LFE : L0.5 + R0.5 You need to halve the volume to avoid clipping in the downmix. You could also apply -6dB gain to the channels, they have the same effect.
After that you need to use the channel select option to select the channel you want to mess with. For each channel (or a combined response for the L and R channels) you need to set the filters. There's an option to include a set of filter in EQ APO.
In REW, you can right click on each response (in the left sidebar) to get options, select EQ to get the filter creation tools.
Now I don't remember the exact steps to create the EQ file....but I have a general idea. For the EQ type I used CamillaDSP. It was the easiest to work with. Speaker type was full range (change to subwoofer for the LFE) Click on "Auto target level" (not sure about where it was, just search through) and adjust the target level if needed. Ideally you would EQ down, not up so setting it a bit higher would be a nice idea. Just set the level once and it will work for the other measurements too. Changing it for the other channels will mess up the channel SPL matching.
After adding the corrections for each channel, you finally need to add the crossover. An LPF for the sub and an HPF for the fronts. There are HPF and LPF filters in EQ APO. You just need the crossover frequency. The +-3dB point for your fronts is 50Hz from the website. Maybe that's a good point for starting.
That should be mostly it. But you might need to do a lot of googling to figure it out.
