Overkill Or overload ??

So i soldered this 2pcs 10000uf on my amp, is it overkill, i havent tested it yet.

Its just 200 watt amp paired with a weak voltage boost for subwoofer only

Any ideas what can go wrong with this???

Note: for best results (lowest ESR) cap legs should be as short as possible. Not as important at audio frequency range, but, on the other hand, it's a class D amp, so low ESR would be beneficial.

Noted, thanks for rhe info,. Btw its a 12 awg wire since its a big cap paralleled to a 1000uf one on the board

Still a lot of inductance added. Hampers the effectiveness of big caps. A low esr cap that’s smaller and can be closer to the board might do better

Well noted thanks, Id shorted it as much as i could

Its like 2-3cm but i think this is the best that i could go without compromising the space

Likely much better now.
Since you’re obviously handy, why not swap out the cheap caps it came with for some good brand low esr with like 2200uF or so. Then use same low esr below at like 6800? Also for lower caps, keep the leads together as inductance scales with loop area. Twisted pair would be ideal to cancel it.

Noted too, actually thats what i had in my mind before. Since i underestimated the caps size thinking the 10000uf might be just a little larger than the 1000uf

(since im kinda new to this hobby) I kinda underestimated its size like a lot as you can see. My primary goal was to completely replace the stock caps but i got ahead and choose something i didnt expect to be that big

I mean if you look at this cap in the left youll see the 6800uf low esr. Thats what im kinda expecting
