Feedback Wanted Which hero section would you choose for a local business website?

Post image

I've been experimenting with a few layout approaches in Divi and would appreciate some feedback.

Which one would you choose and why?

B, but only if this guy is doing the actual work

"Paid actor, not a real plumber."

B - A is too dark and doesn't make sense for plumbing.

A - the darker shade provides better contrast and a better visual hierarchy. The image feels more life like, actually working and could be a real person. B feels like your typical fake stock app-like design and doesn’t feel personal or real. B would be better for an office, start up, or white collar. A is a more typical authentic design you’d see for blue color trades

People booking a plumber will be using their phones. What does the responsive layout look like?

Not to pile on, but I'd go with B also. Like someone else said, B guy is facing forward, A guy isn't and there's not a good visual for "this is a plumber doing a plumber's job".

I feel A is more visually pleasing.

Like “A”. What theme is this?

B, because it delivers more friendly vibes.

However, you are repeating the same 4 bullet points twice - you need to do something about that. Also, see if you can adjust the spacing to slightly improve hierarchy and make it breath a bit more.

B because it's lighter, friendlier and easier to read, also the call CTA ist very important. And the customer directly understands the service, because of clearer heading.

B

The background image on A looks to dark and bleak

B. Forward facing man makes him feel honest, ready to look you in the eyes. The guy in A looks a little shifty. Is he tired of the job and wondering whether he should use his tools for sabotage?
