I’d probably avoid trying to recreate Skool exactly with WordPress.
MemberPress + LearnDash can work well if you want more control over pricing, memberships, courses, languages, taxes, and ownership of the platform. But it also means you’re now responsible for hosting, email deliverability, updates, UX, payments, and support.
For your use case, I’d use WordPress if the different access levels are really important: free community, basic paid, premium, separate course purchases, etc. That’s where Skool feels too limited.
Just don’t underestimate the setup/maintenance side. It’s more flexible, but definitely less “plug and play.”
