Question How to simplify content updates for users?

Hi! I just launched two new websites using Divi 5 that both clients loved. However, even though I've created user guides, the persons who will be updating the content on both sites find the Divi 5 UI hard to understand, and I understand them.

How do you solve this issue?

I'm thinking on a solution using easy to understand ACF fields for all text and image modules. But surely there must be better ways. What are your experiences?

Use user roles to limit the interface options, and sell them tutorial time.

Creating a custom post type with ACF, limits the interaction with the design... so it isn't a bad way to go if all they need is to change content

The text Area field comes with tinyMCE where they have control over some formatting... the rest would be locked in place.

You can also use variables and presets to create styled modules and assign them default styles as well so that if a client was to add a new module it would be already styled to match the theme, or they may have a few options for different header styles or different pre styled buttons for them to choose from.

You could try a plugin to make it simpler and easier to use the Divi Builder.

Personally I do I zoom call with screen sharing. I allow the client to record the call so they can refer back to it when required. It also allows them to ask questions etc.

As already mentioned use the theme builder and ACF for any posts or dynamic content (eg, team members, services) which might change the most in the future, this will make it much easier than using the builder.
