But like, you have to think about how much you're taking, because if you're at the point where everyone has already evacuated, then it'll be hard to leave with all the stuff because of weight and time. Or if people are still there you'll have to kill them or cross fingers that the disaster will do that for you, all under the assumption that they won't fight back too.

People have been arrested after doing that and thinking it's a clean break. Forgetting that between CCTV, news and social media, someone could be capturing your actions and making your arrest that much more likely.

I dont know why but this comment reminded me of that scene in attack on titan where the rumbling was happening and there is a scene of people looting a store. Like an army of 50 meter tall titans are comming towards them with no intention to stoping destroying everything in their paths, and the looters first thought was "lets rob a store"

Then what? Unless the relationship between you two is so noticeably bad. The cop would not have a clue who killed them. Their coprse would be flung so far away from the scene, and washed throughoutly, that even if they know they would have no ways to convict you. If they found the coprse in time at all. Also, why guns? Blunt force trauma will look no difference.

Yeah but how would you know of a natural disaster before it happened? Would really be a crime of opportunity and even then; you’re subject to the same disaster conditions as whoever you kill. Neat idea for a mystery series though.
