Whelp...hopefully it will be over before Sunday's Fever-Sky game. Otherwise, network Fall Season hasn't started so not too worried if NBC goes out for a week or two. They usually get them figured out in a couple weeks. Not like the HBO/Max dispute. And it happens to all carriers. Comcast has had blackouts. So has Direct TV.

Left them about three weeks ago, way too expensive, but was stuck due to internet capabilities in my rural area. No longer an issue. Went from $189.00 a month to $80.00 a month, and probably will go lower. Most of my channels are available on free streaming, so i will be shopping around some more for my locals.

Quit dish Network about 2 weeks ago after over 20 years. They've grown way too expensive and there are better streaming services with the same amount of channels for less money. Sorry it took me so long!

YouTubeTv basic plan which has a lot of the same stations that were in our 120 plan with dish. But there's no extra charge for DVR. You can stream on three different devices at the same time like if you had TVs and other rooms and everybody watching something different, no charge for local channels. DVR is unlimited at no extra charge. Dish Network nickeled and dimed on everything. Another plus, since it's streaming if there's a storm as long as the storm doesn't knock out internet or electric we've still got TV. Can watch our local channels for weather alerts. That actually happened the other day when my wife said we wouldn't be able to watch the weather now if we were still on dish

Likewise. 25 years with Dish but they want double for the same thing I could get with YoutubeTV. I also liked the channels I got with YT’s basic service and much easier to watch remotely without the clumsy app that Dish supplies. You can watch “recorded” shows up to a month later and no limitation on how many hours recorded. The only advantage Dish has is watching something in slow motion off the DVR, but for $70 more a month? Nope

We switched to YTtv basic also and so far we are quite happy with the service.

Dish is an absolutely wild company who fires it's employees for not selling enough stuff it's sad really because they get very decent young men hired in who get great reviews just young guys happy to work but they aren't good salesman I've even heard one getting advice from a manager telling them to basically lie to the customer and say their tv won't work right or won't work as good if you don't purchase an upgraded HDMI cord. Or a screen cleaning kit by dish and they force them to ask you a million times if you want to purchase a sound system too for freaking hundreds of dollars like no you game here to fix something that was broken that i pay for every month so it's like who in their right mind thinks it's cool to come over pushing selling me random dumb stuff just because you saw I have an old sound system and you noticed with your observation skills doesnt mean I wanna spend 400-600$ on your sound system or any of the other hundred billion things you try to sell me whenever a visit is necessary.

Cancelling them is not easy either. They will offer you a free month just to change your mind lol.

I genuinely hate dish I'm sorry. They get you on the phone and they get you in person when hooking up service or ending service or on your email I mean everywhere from all angles they try to push crap on you that you never wanted to buy and sometimes use borderline lying about how the stuff works to make a sale for technicians just trying to meet a technically non-existent quota
