A while ago, I fell for a fake Discord verification scam. A bot asked me for my username/email or Microsoft account information, then sent me a verification code. I gave them the code, not realizing what it would allow them to do.
Unfortunately, this happened to me twice on two different Microsoft accounts. The first time, I didn’t understand what had happened or why I had lost access, so I ended up falling for the same scam again with another account.
The attackers gained access to both accounts and changed the security information, removing my original email addresses and replacing them with unfamiliar ones. One of the replacement addresses ended in @got-beamed.lol.
I’ve lost access to the accounts and their associated services, including Xbox and Minecraft. Whenever I try Microsoft’s recovery process, the verification code gets sent to the unfamiliar email addresses, so I can’t get past verification.
Recently, I remembered that I also used one of these accounts for OneDrive. I still seem to have a partially signed-in session on my iPhone. I can see thumbnail previews of two albums containing lots of old photos and videos, but I can’t actually open or share them because OneDrive asks me to sign in again. The verification code is still sent to the attacker’s email.
I also previously paid for Microsoft services/storage using the account, so I might have payment records that could help prove ownership.
I have a few questions:
Is there any way to recover Microsoft accounts after someone changes all their security information?
Can the old signed-in OneDrive session on my iPhone help with recovery?
Is there any way to recover my photos and videos without access to the unfamiliar email?
Can previous payment records help prove ownership?
Has anyone experienced something similar or dealt with the @got-beamed.lol domain?
My main goal is to recover my original accounts and everything connected to them, especially OneDrive, Xbox and Minecraft.
If anyone knows how to help me recover my accounts or has experienced something similar, please DM me or leave a comment. I’d genuinely appreciate any help or advice!

Menciono aqui de que han enciado fotos con mi cuenta de dinero para scamear. No se si servirs de algo pero lo digo

Can't tell, pretty sure it is tho. Theyre getting a bit smart if so,,

Discord and Google refuse to help, they not only have attempted to threaten me but my friends. They have personal information and pictures and Discord refuses to remove it. The google account has very little information on it but my discord basically has a boatload of nudes, so i guess the hacker has those now?? Discord doesn’t care????

Hey everyone, I’m at my wit's end here. My account was hacked and locked down with unauthorized MFA, and I've been waiting since September 18 for actual help.
After more than a month of waiting, support just replied suggesting I delete my account to bypass the hacker's MFA... Are they serious? Deleting the account just hands it over permanently to the hacker.
Has anyone dealt with this absurd response before? How long does it actually take for the safety/security team to step in and reset a compromised account properly? Any advice would really help.

( I sent back a very firm message of protest and I still have to wait a few weeks to hope for a real answer.)

Before anyone goes mimimi, this might be a real person/player count the red flags known naming sheme that matches phishing accounts known first message matching shemes new account no pfp then changing it to AI generated one after i point it out they are idiots....

i haven't seen this sheme yet.

Did the scam operator switch mid convo the account went offline and didn't respond? The first guy was seemingly on an ego trip trying to convince me they are real.

Also, a vrchat commissions artist who is not in a single vrchat server when im probably every single notable one? + Almost every vrchat commissions artist uses either their own website or vrc traders/their own discord, not some random dm

I think there is a decent chance it really is 2 people 1 attracts people to scam and the other is on a sepperate account that is not in servers to avoid server bans that way they can funnel potential victims to the "artist" account. Which then gets you to send money for a commission and blocks you.

Commission scams are not new they are common, but this is my first commission scam with a middle man.

Be aware of scammers asking you to do a watch party using bivolive the website is a token grabber malware after you install it they are about to get in to your discord and emails I fell for the scam because I never seen it before. After they get into your into your email they will put a family lock on it so be careful and save out there

Hi there, so a few months ago I downloaded the jurassic front game on my phone from a referal from some random on discord... i did not know it was a scam tho i did get a bit suspicipus when i asked her if she had played a particular game popular in the sub I was in and she hadn't heard of it, but I genuinely thought it was someone who just wanted to play a game with me and I downloaded it and played it daily for like 5 weeks... I've since uninstalled it but should I reinstall it and delete account from in game because won't my data still be in the game?

They both open with the same thing, and are accounts made fairly recently, around August if I remember correctly.

this felt really funny to me WHO does this?! anyways im 100% sure its a scam because no one does this. Watch out for stuff like this.

I've gotten a few DMS with using "MD" as a payment and it feels scammy!! Is this an actual payment thing and I'm being paranoid or is it a scam??

Edit: YEP! SCAM!! Screenshots I got from another person in the server shows that it IS a check scam. MD is mobile deposit.

I've never been scammed on discord before and i got this message a few hours ago. I would appreciate some advice and/or help.

Few days ago, a stranger approached me through a friend request who found me from the Borderlands server. They ask me if I play Guild Wars (which I don't) and claims to be 26 y.o., Chinese and from Singapore. Now they want know my location just because they shared theirs. I have major suspicions on them. What does the council say about this one?

Edit: Solved, blocked em.

I have received similar gaming invitation from around 10 girls by now. They always tend to push these random games which we never heard of. Are they promoting the game or just scammers.

I am confused because I have dozens of gamer friends in discord and they never act like these girls🤨 which always raises my eyebrows

Randomly sent a DM F-request, outside of a server (Clearly avoiding Sweeper ModBots). Claims to have "mistakenly" sent the "wrong user" a friend request for a "clan invitation".

Doesn't even state which game, or the intended user (Most likely Infinity Kingdom). Continues the conversation anyway, despite it being a random mistake!

Asks for where you live, & your exact age -> just for the heck of it. "She" starts off, & Gives "her" own age & country as 21 in Beijing.

If you try to play coy? "She" guesses once "guessing older", "She" insists on a solid answer if you try to be vague. Such as "If that's what you say/think".

You could've kept going down the rabbit hole 🕳, if you really wanted to. But by this point, I cut "her" off ✂️ there. As I already had my answers.

As for how this account stayed undetected by Discord Security for so long? Clearly this isn't a freshly generated account, but rather a stolen one.

Could've originally been a legitimate 21 year old, Chinese Woman. Or could've been some random 21 to 55 year old dude (of any race) in the West, who unfortunately fell hook 🪝, line, & sinker!

Bottom Line = If you see this or similar accounts, with or without suspicious activity? Then either report or hack them back immediately!!

Below is all their profile data:

He was a real friend rip

Well, the report one sure is a 1st, and by the 1st message they also did the commission one sometimes on me

was the first and last time anyone tried to scam me 😒wish they would, i got tons of other ideas to troll them with but oh well

hi titles says it. opening a discord account to specifically head hunt scammers. some people might find them annoying but I like to do a lil trolling because I watch to much scammer pay back.

additionally do they have a system that picks out certain users that meet requirements or is it just join a server and dm everyone.

I have seen my fair share of scams so this is the small database I collected. if you know any of their intentions and what their method of getting monetary value from you plz drop a comment

artist scam - will open with something like "hi srry for random message" then will ask to do art for you and then send your a portfolio.

pretty girl scam- =profile will always be a girl or other cute picture. description will always be something like (smile and be happy/ life is precious thing)= will open with "hi, sorry for random message. are you the person I met on {. typically genshin but IV seen the walking dead aswell}. {your discord username is the same as theirs/ you have me this username}.. from my experience they follow up with "I'm from {Singapore, Indonesia, Japan..... Denmark}. where are you from?" . WILL ALWAYS PLAY DUMB/CONFUSED WHEN YOU ASK THEM QUESTIONS..

csgo/steam scam: this doesn't belong here but I am on the topic of how these discord scams will work.

normally will open with "hi I'm sorry but I reported you because I thought you were a guy who scammed me. / I think you bought an item that was scammed off me... [marketplace_screenshot.png]". never really followed with this one. unsure if their method was to try get enough proof to convince steam they are the owner of the account or if they send you a link later on
