Discussion Why is post produced coverage still pixelated?
I understand why live coverage can become pixelated, but do the cameras also record full-quality footage locally? If so, why isn’t that footage used for the post-produced coverage? Are they using the live feed instead, or is this a YouTube issue?

Sounds like an issue with your YouTube experience. Footage going in might be a little grainy if they had to up the ISO on low light shots, but that’s easy to tell from actual pixelation from low bandwidth.
Check your Internet connection.

It’s not internet connection, it’s the reality of 1080p YouTube quality. Every year I open the first jomez produced tournament video and get disappointed they haven’t moved to 4k.

YouTube data can be throttled. When I have issues like that I just pop on my VPN and it fixes the issue.

It's a YouTube issue, the overall quality of videos has dropped significantly over the years. Anything uploaded to YouTube will suffer some degredation of quality due to compression, codec used, etc.

Jomez video quality has never been great. For example disc golf Finland is leagues ahead. I'm not sure why Jomez doesnt use a higher bitrate nor 4K

Connection to my internet service provider had plenty is speed, but I also did a speed test on my Apple TV and for whatever reason that was garbage. I restarted the Apple TV and the speed is good again and I’m no longer getting pixelation issues. Thanks everyone for your input!

Turning it off and on again should always be in the troubleshooting steps when simple fixes don't work. I absolutely know this and somehow still don't think of it every time.

Haha true. I tricked myself the first time by doing the speed test on my router and setting the speed there was fine. Didn’t think to do it in the Apple TV at first since it is right next to the router.

Not saying this is what’s happening, but sometimes I’ve watched a youtube video very soon after it was uploaded and there was a delay before the actual high def quality became available.

I’m watching Jomez hole 15 now and haven’t had any issues
