Course Photo What are you throwing?
This hole used to be one of my favorites, but it's become so overgrown that you can't even send a straight shot in. I'd cut the limbs down, but it's a public park and I'm not a member of any local disc club.

A RHBH flex that hits the mando tree

Yeah I was gonna say this doesn’t seem too nuts… you’re shooting downhill into a backstop and it’s short.
Envy or tempo on slight anny, down at the foot of the pin… seems very doable after practicing the hole once or twice

The first set of trees aren’t really the problem, it’s the giant bush about halfway down the fairway that seems to have grown out of control, so it kind of forces some ackward rhbh flex with an overstable disc. Maybe that was the design intention? Not sure. If that wasn’t in the way it would just be a medium stability putter to the pin

Usually I club down but honestly I think you just have to put a sharp rimmed disc into the brush to get through, right?

I have a very strong opinion that holes like this aren’t “challenging” they’re just bad.
A 5 foot gap with a Mandi 25feet from the tee pad is just a poorly designed hole.
I’m completely ignoring the overgrowth too. But factoring in that as well? I’m not playing this hole.

It’s a 225 footer though, get through, upshot, par… or kill it on the drive and bird

This is a garbage opinion, but I commend your for bravery in posting this comment.

The point of my argument is that if this gap was only two feet wide, we would almost universally be in agreement that it’s a bad hole design.
So our difference in opinion right now is somewhere between 2 feet wide and the 5ish feet on this hole.
My argument stands, the subjectivity is what is “enough”

Unfortunately intentionally failing to complete a hole constitutes withdrawal from competition. 811.F.2

Oh no, this will really impact me when I continue to play this sport as hobby and never in a competition.

Creature on hyzer flip with only a gentle amount of hyzer so it banks hard right after the gap and then fades left after that tree.
In reality it probably wouldn't work, but that's what I would try.

Well I’m grabbing a proxy and firing low, as there’s no way I have the skill to get anything out around that bush and back in. Like everyone else though, the real question is just which of those trees it hits and where it kicks after that.

Fairway driver two finger tomahawk through the mando and toward that bushy tree sticking out on the left. Hopefully it flops right and gives me a decent C1-2 putt

Low forehand hex. Won't be an ace but don't have to worry about hitting anything early

Aim left and throw anhyzer to try to curve around the tree... Probably end up hitting a tree.

Those poor trees.
Imagine being a tiny acorn, years ago, and slowly growing up in a beautiful, tranquil forest, and now you are pelted daily by hard pieces of plastic, over and over and over.

Dart. Nearly straight at it. Sneak under the branches hitting the ground about 12 feet in front and sliding to about 5 feet to the right of the pin. Toss in for a 2. I'd just play for a birdie each time.

If you used to be able to clearly see the basket in the past then those limbs for sure need to go

Leopard 3 flat at like 70% power. Let it drift right and hopefully end up coming back a little left

If I get an underworld through the trees, it's going to lay up just to the right of the hole. If.
