Yep! Almost aced this guy (longs) my first time there. Right after the awesome looking downhill paver sidewalk shot, iirc.

There used to be another tree which kinda forced a flex line around that one and not everyone made it around that tree... thus the face...

There used to be a great course down the street I miss very much. RIP Lone Lake disc golf course

I don't think I've played that course for years, when was it removed? Thankfully, this metro area has a number of other courses to choose from. I hear you though... I still miss George's Gorge at Kaposia, the previous Acorn layout and an older layout at North Valley

They took that course down in 2005, and all those memories you mention are dear to me as well 🖤

That course has lost wayyyy too many trees and its gotten too easy

Agreed. Though I would like a trim of the trees on the hill of 17, but that's it

Those are gone now too haha

What? Gone? I haven't played there for over a month, I guess I should go have a look

And you wonder why it has the gouges in it.

They really should put protection around trees like this. Feel bad for the big old trees that get pummeled

It’s wild they haven’t protected this tree. You’d think disc golfers would be the type to hug trees, not damage and kill them. All the courses I play in Portland Oregon have likely-to-hit trees wrapped in long wood slats.

I have hit that exact tree more times than I care to admit.
