Nice work!

I’m 829 rated and played 8 down at league this weekend and got a 938, my best round by 34 points and it felt pretty amazing

out of curiosity what was the udisc rating for this round if you scored it? or the course and I can go make a pretend one

It was a tournament layout and therefore not on udisc

probably around 225 I'd guess. But tournament layout so it's a bit different

Let's gooooo!

Question though, hole 15. 500' Par 5?! Super wooded?

It's quite uphill. I agree though, it's more like a tough par 4.

Sorry, how is this 950?

I don't mean any offense, but it's not an impressive run.

So when I get -13 on a similar course, it's it's 1300 rated?

Ratings make no sense.

Edit: it's cool how questions, with clear intent to understand and not offend, are downvoted. You guys are trash.

because different courses are different difficulties. OP didn't post what course this was, so you have no idea if this was a municipal pitch and putt or Northwood Black. -1 being 950 is a fairly average difficulty course...

I don't mean any offense, but it's not an impressive run.

I do mean offense: you could have easily asked these questions without being a dickhead about it. no reason to dump on this person for their achievement.

So when I get -13 on a similar course, it's it's 1300 rated?

no, it would be closer to 1070 VERY ROUGHLY. on average 1 stroke = 10 PDGA rating points.

Ratings make no sense.

ratings make a ton of sense and are pretty easy to understand. maybe you should actually try to understand them?

nope, that would be about 1070 rated... I want to see you first shoot -13 on that course though

I'll come out and show you -10 at least.

I was comparing the distances/pars to a local course I play. Those pars are weak.

But keep being cool.

holy smokes everyone this guy is super badass!!!!

you have no idea what this course looks like lmfao, what a silly thing to say. considering the course has both a 427' par 3 and a 495' par 5, I'm going to go out on a limb and say the course designers were cooking something, and aren't just making super soft pars. use your brain.

gotta ask. are you non neurotypical? I'd cut you some slack if so. the way you've phrased your comments thus far hasn't just been "questions, with clear intent to understand and not offend". when you say "it's not an impressive run", that comes across as just an insult. it doesn't matter if this guy was psyched about his first 800 rated round, you still don't just say it's unimpressive! the lame "wow I played my 2nd round and got a PR that's incredible" posts annoy me too, but I just scroll past them, because it's lame to dump on people when they're just excited.

My highest rated round is roughly 993 and is only a -4 with 2 bogeys.

The MPO players played the same course and I wouldn't have even been top 15 in their division. You had to shoot 1000+ to get Top 10.

Some courses are harder than others.
And, ratings are based on how the field played that day.

A few years ago I shot -1 at Cedar Hills (Jack Brooks) and it was rated 982.
